Plantlife, in partnership with the James Hutton Institute and volunteers, have been discovering more about the fragile plant communities in the Cairngorm mountains.
The DNA of soil samples collected from 55 of the 58 munros in the Cairngorms National Park has revealed a huge variety of previously unknown fungi.
