New SoilPlastic App launched

Help scientists understand how much plastic ends up in soils and what impact that has on soil health

The recently launched SoilPlastic App has been developed so that anyone can record sightings of plastic in soils and help scientists get a better understanding of how plastics affect soils and the functions they provide.

When plastics break down they can be eaten by animals and taken up by plants, as well as change soil properties. Recording where you see plastic in soil can help scientists gather evidence on the impacts of plastics on soil health.

The SoilPlasic App is available on iOS, Android, and in your desktop browser
